Abstract lines of color and impasto brush strokes capture the lively movement of a cluster of yellow wildflowers. The brightness of the canary flowers, dancing in the sunlight, is a beautiful contrast against the shaded grass beyond.
“Floral Lights” was created on 1-1/2″ deep canvas, with the painting continued around the edges. The piece arrives framed in a carved floater frame designed for the painting, ready to hang. This painting will be displayed at The Super Bloom Show, September 9th, at The Erin Hanson Gallery in San Diego.

Erin Hanson is a regular featured artist here at TribeLA Magazine. We launched the “Checking in” series just in time to stay in touch with our friends, with Erin being the first. Erin’s nature landscapes in oil are intricately breathtaking, which is why we are pleased to share with you her newest collection of paintings, fresh from the easel!
These paintings were all inspired by this year’s super bloom, a rare explosion of desert wildflowers. They will be presented next weekend at Erin’s gallery in San Diego, and you are invited to join Erin for the artist’s reception! They will be providing refreshments, wine tasting, and live jazz performances. Please let them know if you will be able to attend.
