I’m interested in how technology alters our visual understanding of how images are constructed. This painting has a contemporary cut and paste feel, but also an organized chaotic arrangement reminiscent of history painting. It’s my version of a beautiful world gone wrong.

In 2016 and 2014, Adam designed billboards for LAXART’s LA Public Domain Project, which were displayed on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and La Cienega Blvd. in Culver City. He has also created site-specific works for the Museum of Broken Relationships in Los Angeles and the LA Art Fair.

“I was raised by chefs so I know how to cook, though I don’t show off my knowledge much. I love prosciutto. My favorite restaurant is Taix in Echo Park.”
I painted this work in July of 2006 as the presidential campaigns began to gain momentum. Needless to say, it’s more relevant today than I expected.
