Publisher Deborah Granger Launches TribeLA Magazine

Deborah’s career began with an extensive background in radio as an account executive at WESL radio and as an account manager for CBS radio. She then became an integrated marketing specialist for Clear Channel as well as iHeart Media (formerly Clear Channel-LV). Her leadership in the field has been recognized several times as sales person of the month, she received the MVP award at Clear Channel for salesperson of the region, as well as sales person of the year at KCBS-FM 93.1.

From radio, Deborah branched into the world of books after authoring her first title and opening up her own publishing house, Quiet Time Publishing as well as launching an Internet Radio Network for authors, QTRadio.net.

Deborah’s Midas touch in the field led to publishing authors Jewel Diamond Taylor’s Success Gems (foreword by Iyanla Vanzant from OWN-Oprah Winfrey Network), and the Amazon bestseller Dr. Sharon Turnbull’s Goddess Gift, as well as distributing the Greco Garcia Buy a Million Dollars book series in both English and Spanish

An avid fan of jazz, Deborah hails from the same hometown as Miles Davis where she created and produced the highly successful 2001 75th Birthday Miles Davis Festival in collaboration with the city of E. St. Louis, Illinois, The Casino Queen Riverboat, and the Missouri History Museum along with other partners. The 12-hour outdoor festival, held on the Mississippi Riverfront, honored Davis’s achievements in the music world and featured popular artists such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Clark Terry, Ahmad Jamal, Phil Perry and many more.

Deborah’s leadership led her to BLVDS-LV Arts and Cultures Magazine as associate publisher under publisher Jan Craddock where she increased the magazine’s editorial promotions, sales and readership through content integration and sales strategies. She also served on the board and co-published the Black Media Network-LA Newsletter.

In August, 2016 Deborah once again branched out and founded TribeLA Magazine highlighting the arts, cultures, and lifestyles of this tribe we call Los Angeles. TribeLA Magazine is a testament to Deborah’s constant strive, timeless energy, and her dedication, making everything she touches a success. You can email her at [email protected]
