Jenny Lewis originates from the San Fernando Valley. As a child star in the 80s and 90s, she is no stranger to the sometimes dismal display behind Hollywood’s red velvet curtain. “Rabbit Fur Coat” recounts how Lewis became a spoke in the cog of Los Angeles’ film and television industry via her mother’s biography: a tale of a troubled woman who was pushed “down the LA River” over a rabbit fur coat.
