A night time view of Harrods that I took at around 10p.m. on a hot evening last summer. Harrods is an iconic luxury department store on Brompton Road in the exclusive London borough of Knightsbridge. It’s over 160 year old and it remains the biggest department store in Europe. Their motto is Omnia Omnibus Ubique, which is Latin for “all things for all people, everywhere” (Rich)

Energy: What fires you up?
Well it’s no longer caffeine. I cut that out about a year ago. Hearing positive reactions to pics from a shoot I’ve put a lot of effort into is extremely rewarding as is seeing my work on display. Pretty much everyone has a camera in their pocket these days and pro-equipment is better than ever which makes it increasingly hard to cut through the clutter and stand out. I work hard and go the extra mile (often literally as well as metaphorically) to achieve ambitious goals and it’s really gratifying to get positive feedback.
Los Angeles: Where is your favorite place in Los Angeles?
Where would you take visitors?
The Venice canals remain a hidden gem and I really like the story behind them.
If you could defend the city in one sentence to someone who doubts it, what would you say?
It’s strange that I have to defend LA, but I often find myself doing so. I really believe it has something for everyone and for those who dislike LA, I would suggest they haven’t explored it enough.
Advice: What is the best advice youʼve received?
“Never give up.” It was one of my Welsh grand’s words of wisdom for future generations of our family. She passed away last year at the age of 99. RIP Nain.
What is the best advice you can give?
Never give up. Unless your goal is to land on the sun, in which case give up.
