I’m interested in how technology alters our visual understanding of how images are constructed. This painting has a contemporary cut and paste feel, but also an organized chaotic arrangement reminiscent of history painting. It’s my version of a beautiful world gone wrong.
In 2016 and 2014, Adam designed billboards for LAXART’s LA Public Domain Project, which were displayed on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and La Cienega Blvd. in Culver City. He has also created site-specific works for the Museum of Broken Relationships in Los Angeles and the LA Art Fair.
Today, Chris Bonno is an award winning Los Angeles artist and comedian who received his Fine Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin with honors. He started out as an illustrator with work shown in publications such as Austin Chronicle, National Lampoon, The WGA magazine, The L. A. Weekly with regular exhibits in galleries in Texas and California.
