About Sounds & The City

In the style of art and literature, Natalie Durkin’s project “Sounds and the City” is a celebration of Los Angeles. Emerging and established LA musicians, comics, poets, and audiobooks have a platform on Sounds and the City. We shine a light on visitors from various corners of the world occasionally too.

Natalie Durkin

Equally important is that Natalie is taking Sounds to a new level, with her Acrostic Interviews. She previously featured youth poet laureates, comics, and musicians unveiling new music and cultures. Integrating Jazz into Sounds will embrace fusion music, a crucial element of the genre. You’ll get to know a new crop of young and experienced musicians who embody this classic American art form.
