Both images on this post were selected as part of a photo contest for National Geographic. One has to develop thick skin and expect a fair amount of rejection in order to enter contests. However, that also makes being selected all the more special, especially when upwards of 20,000 images submit to any given contest.
I started taking photos when I was asked to select an Art in Junior High school and have been seriously into photography for about 20 years. Probably not a conscious decision, but since I don’t particularly enjoy being IN photographs, being the one taking the photos manages to keep me out of the frame
